As we continue teaching and learning with our awesome scholars this semester, we want to share some important academic updates and upcoming school events to help keep everyone informed and connected.
Please remember, our Winter Break is 2/13 - 2/16. Students return Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
Tuesday, February 17, 2026, will be an A Day for Connections.
Academic Focus
Progress Reports were sent home yesterday.
Access to Infinite Campus:
Please make sure you have access to Infinite Campus, as this is where you can view your student's grades, attendance, and progress. If you need help getting access, please let us know-w e're happy to assist. Link for access: Campus Portal Login
Writing Across Content Areas:
This semester, we will be placing a strong emphasis on strengthening writing skills in all subjects. Students will have ongoing opportunities to practice organizing, explaining, and expanding their thinking.
WIN (What I Need) Time:
6th Grade students now have a 40‑minute WIN period each day focused on closing learning gaps and providing acceleration in both Math and Language Arts.
At‑Home Support:
Please encourage your child to continue working on Liftoff or Khan Academy for at least 30 minutes per day per subject. This additional practice makes a big difference!

NAEP Testing:
For selected 8th grade students February 17, 2026
️ SGA Meeting:
Our next Student Government Association meeting will be held on February 23 , 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
School Climate Survey:
Please take a moment to share your feedback by completing our School Climate Survey:
8th Grade students will be traveling to Macon Centreplex on February 26, 2026, for a STEM activity.
Regional Spelling Bee
will be held in Athens on February 28, 2026.
Virtual Day:
Students will have a virtual day on March 16, 2026. Students will be expected to complete all Canvas assignments assigned by each content teacher.
Report Cards:
Students will receive 3rd Nine Week Report Cards March 18, 2026. Please contact your child's teachers should you have any questions.
MAP Testing:
March 24th & 25th
