Dear PCMS Families,
The wait is over... tomorrow we officially welcome our scholars back to Putnam County Middle School, and we could not be more excited! The halls are ready, classrooms are prepared, and our staff is eager to begin another amazing year of learning, growth, and success.
As we kick off the first day of school, we need your help to ensure a smooth and safe arrival for everyone.
Morning Car Rider Drop-Off
Car rider drop-off will be the same as last year.
Students may be dropped off beginning at 7:30 a.m.
To help traffic move efficiently, please follow all posted directions and staff guidance.
New Families & Rising 6th Graders
If this is your first year at PCMS or your child is entering 6th grade, please review the attached drop-off route map for important directions and traffic flow information.
First Week Focus
During the first week of school, our teachers and staff will spend intentional time helping students get off to a successful start by reviewing:
School expectations
Classroom procedures
Safety guidelines
Positive behavior expectations
Daily routines and schedules
Establishing these expectations early helps create a safe, supportive, and productive learning environment for all students.
Important Paperwork
Students will bring home a few forms that require parent review and signatures. However, the majority of our beginning-of-year forms and information will be available electronically through Infinite Campus. We encourage families to check their accounts regularly for updates and required documents.
We are looking forward to an incredible year filled with opportunities for our students to learn, lead, and soar. Thank you for partnering with us as we begin another exciting chapter at PCMS.
