Assessments This Week

Students will participate in the following assessments:

• Write Score Assessment: August 25

• ELA MAP Assessment: August 26

• Math MAP Assessment: August 27

Please encourage your student to get a good night's rest and arrive at school ready to do their best. These assessments provide valuable information about student progress and help us tailor instruction to meet individual student needs.

Athletics Information

Sports schedules are available on the PCMS website. We encourage everyone to come out and support our War Eagle students throughout the season!

Scholastic Book Fair

Our Annual Scholastic Book Fair will be held August 31 through September 3. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to discover new books and foster a lifelong love of reading.

Picture Day

Picture Day: September 3, 2026

Students who are absent on Picture Day will have an opportunity to participate in Picture Make-Up Day on October 1, 2026.

Student Code of Conduct

Parents are encouraged to review the 2026-2027 Student Code of Conduct, which is available on the middle school website. Familiarity with these expectations helps us work together to maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment for all students.

In Other News...

• Yearbooks are now on sale! Please see the flyer that was sent home last week and refer to my email for purchasing information.

• Mental Health Screener information will be sent home this week. The screener will take place September 8.

• Progress Reports will be available in Infinite Campus on September 9.

• PCMS Homecoming is scheduled for Wednesday, September 16 at the PCMS Football Stadium.

• PCMS Sneaker Ball will be held October 29 at the PCMS Gymnasium from 5:00-7:00 PM.

• Admission: $10 (non-refundable)

• Tickets go on sale September 14

• Students may not have any ISS or OSS referrals to attend.

• Friday Concessions: Concessions will be sold every Friday. At this time, we are only able to accept cash.

• Students arriving after 8:00 AM must be checked in by an adult in the front office.

• Our first Student Government Association (SGA) meeting of the school year will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
