The H.E.A.R.T. award is given by the district to one of our classified employees each month. This month's award was earned by our own Ms. Eberle. Read below for the reasons why Ms. Eberle deserves this award. Congratulations!
Today, we have the privilege of recognizing someone who truly embodies the spirit of service, teamwork, and dedication that makes Putnam County Middle School such a special place. It is my honor to celebrate Ms. Jessica Eberle.
Jessica originally joined the PCMS family in 2022 as our ISS Para Support. From the moment she arrived, she demonstrated a strong commitment to our students and a willingness to do whatever was needed to help our school succeed. Although she stepped away from PCMS for a brief period, we are incredibly grateful that she has returned this year, bringing back the same positive attitude, strong work ethic, and servant-hearted approach that made such an impact before.
One of her greatest strengths is her flexibility. In particular, every day middle school presents new challenges, unexpected situations, and opportunities to serve. Ms. Eberle never hesitates when a need arises. Whether it is supporting administration, assisting teachers, stepping in to help students, or taking on responsibilities outside of her usual role, she does so with professionalism, positivity, and a smile. She understands that being part of a school team means working together for the common good, and she consistently puts the needs of our school community first.
Ms. Eberle is also remarkably adaptable. She adjusts quickly to changing circumstances and approaches every task with a solution-oriented mindset. No matter the challenge, she remains calm, reliable, and ready to help. Her ability to pivot when needed and maintain a positive attitude is a tremendous asset to our staff and students.
What stands out most about Ms. Eberle is her willingness to serve. She is the type of person who responds with, "How can I help?" before anyone even has to ask. She supports administration, collaborates with teachers, and most importantly, builds positive relationships with students. Her genuine care for others and commitment to doing what is best for children does not go unnoticed. She is a team player in every sense of the word and represents the very best of what it means to be a member of the PCMS family.
Her contributions may not always be the most visible, but they are certainly among the most valuable. Schools thrive because of dedicated individuals like her who are willing to step up, fill gaps, and ensure that students and staff have what they need to be successful.
Ms. Eberle, your PCMS family is truly excited to have you back home at Putnam County Middle School. Thank you for your flexibility, your adaptability, your servant leadership, and your commitment to our staff and students. We are better because you are here, and we are grateful for the positive difference you make every single day.
Please join me in congratulating Ms. Jessica Eberle. Your hard work, dedication, and heart for service are greatly appreciated and richly deserved.
Congratulations, Ms. Eberle!

Students enjoyed Chick-fil-A and Krispy Kreme while engaging in meaningful conversations about ways to improve the student experience at both Putnam County Middle School and Putnam County High School. They also began planning for our annual Shop with a War Eagle event and other community service initiatives.

We are excited to see these student leaders use their voices, ideas, and passion to make a positive impact in our schools and community. Here's to a productive year ahead!

Last night’s Board of Education meeting was filled with moments of pride as we recognized some truly outstanding members of the PCCSS family.

We had the pleasure of honoring our September Superintendent’s Students of the Month, students who truly exemplify what it means to be a leader both inside and outside the classroom. These students demonstrate academic growth and achievement while consistently displaying character, kindness, perseverance, and respect. They encourage those around them, treat teachers, staff, and fellow students with dignity, work hard, and maintain positive attitudes that inspire others every day.

Please join us in congratulating:
• Jorge Lopez, Putnam County Primary School
• Leah Jackson (not pictured), Putnam County Elementary School
• Cheyenne Copeland, Putnam County Middle School
• Joelyn Madden, Putnam County High School

We also celebrated another outstanding achievement as the PCCSS Finance Department was recognized for earning both the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting and the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.

These prestigious awards reflect PCCSS's continuous commitment to transparency, accountability, and the highest standards of financial reporting. Even more impressive, this marks the 12th consecutive year that our Finance Department has earned recognition for excellence at the state, national, or international level. Congratulations to our dedicated Finance Department for continuing this tradition of exceptional stewardship and service to our schools and community.

👏 Join us in celebrating our outstanding students and staff who make PCCSS a place of excellence every day!

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing community partners at the Putnam County Fire Department for helping make our Putnam County Middle School September House Celebration so much fun!

Our firefighters spent time meeting students and staff, handing out prizes, and joining in on the excitement with games like tug-of-war and half-court basketball shots. We even had one student sink an incredible half-court shot! 🏀

Events like these are about more than just fun. They help our students build meaningful connections with the public servants who work every day to keep our community safe. Positive relationships with local firefighters and first responders help students see the important role they play and inspire a greater sense of community and service.

Thank you again to the members of the Putnam County Fire Department for your service, sacrifice, and dedication to our community. We are grateful for your partnership and the positive impact you make on our students. ❤️🚒
