🐰✨ Exciting News from Our Ag Program! ✨🐰
We’re hopping with excitement; our ag class has welcomed three adorable new bunnies! These sweet additions were generously donated by the Macklin family, and we are so grateful for their support of our program.
Our students will be naming the bunnies soon, and they are already learning so much about small animal care, responsibility, and hands‑on agriculture.
They’re so cute… stay tuned for names and more fluffy updates! 💙🌱🐇

Ms. Bollen’s science classes have been learning about protons, neutrons and electrons. Today, scholars were able to apply their knowledge and build Bohr Models using skittles. Scholars were given a certain elements to build with their skittles. This allowed scholars to physically see the things they have been learning in class.

✨ Congratulations to Shamiyah Ellison! ✨
Please join us in celebrating Shamiyah Ellison, 8th grader at PCMS, who represented our school beautifully at the district-level spelling bee in Athens, Georgia this past weekend. Shamiyah attended with her family and PCMS sponsor Mrs. Sills, and we are so proud of her hard work and poise.
Did you know that today’s spelling bees include both spelling and vocabulary? The competition brought some incredibly challenging words—one round even featured “Yiddish,” a Germanic-language term with deep historical roots. It was the kind of word even seasoned adults might pause over!
Shamiyah handled each round with confidence and grace, and she truly represented PCMS with excellence. We are so proud of you, Shamiyah! 💙📚🐝

Our new teachers and leadership team showed off their competitive side today… with a wild game of BINGO!
Who knew a few numbers and squares could bring out so much laughter, teamwork, and friendly rivalry? We loved seeing everyone jump in, cheer each other on, and enjoy a little mid‑week fun together.
Here’s to building community, celebrating our new faces, and starting the year with joy!

Ms. Bollen’s first period science class has been studying about the law of conservation of matter which states: matter cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred. Students were able to get a hands on experience with this by taking the mass of popcorn kernels and then popping them to see if the mass had changed. Students found that the kernels once popped proved the law of conservation of matter was true as the popcorn once popped weighed the same as the kernels.
